Jun Lozada in Blogosphere

Jun Lozada has created his own blog. The first post is about his message to the youth. Click here to read the blog.

But what is amazing is that he already amassed 243 comments (and counting) with just a single post. Even more amazing is that there are already so many commenters flaming the comment section. Either Jun Lozada has many haters out there or the internet world has already been infiltrated by internet trolls of the the bayaran type (Magkano ba ang bayad sa ganyan, P20 per hate post? Pretty good racket if you ask me).

A hate post can affect the credibility of a blogger. Plus, it dumbs down an otherwise meaningful exchange of views - it can turn off some serious readers/commenters. Worse, it can be annoying and hurtful (as an aside, John Nery's piece, Coming to Disagreement, is an enlightening article).

Flamers notwithstanding, I commend Jun Lozada for continuing his fight. Cheers to you!

  1. It's the case of shooting down the messenger instead of weighing the message. There's a whole ocean of trolls in that blog, and I can only say they've been flocking there like exodus.

  2. Yup. I agree. It's hard to fathom that the hate comments there reflect the true sentiments of the people.
